Rich Township 2021 Assessment Notices Mailed

The Assessor’s Office has mailed 2021 assessment notices to Rich property owners. You may appeal your assessment each year during the 34-day window which is now open and will close on November 29th. The following cities, towns, and villages are in Rich Township: Country Club Hills, Flossmoor (west 3/4), Frankfort, Hazel Crest, Homewood, Matteson (majority), Olympia Fields (the vast majority), Park Forest (north 3/4), Richton Park, Tinley Park (portion), and University Park (portion).

Cook County reassesses properties triennially through a mass appraisal system. Rich was last reassessed in 2020 and if you appealed and were successful on your 2020 tax year appeal you will see those savings this summer on your 2nd installment property tax bill (the 1st installment bill you recently received is always 55% of the previous year’s total tax).

Stickney Township 2021 Assessment Notices Mailed

The Assessor’s Office has mailed 2021 assessment notices to Stickney property owners. You may appeal your assessment each year during the 46-day window which is now open and will close on November 15th. The following cities, towns, and villages are in Stickney Township: Bedford Park (east 3/4), Bridgeview, Burbank, Forest View (majority), and Stickney.

The Assessor’s Office has mailed 2021 assessment notices to Proviso property owners. You may appeal your assessment each year during the 30-day window which is now open and will close on November 8th. The following cities, towns, and villages are in Proviso Township: Bellwood, Berkeley, Broadview, Brookfield (northwest 1/2), Elmhurst (portion), Forest Park, Hillside, La Grange Park (majority), Maywood, Melrose Park, North Riverside, Northlake (south 1/4), Oak Brook (parts), Stone Park, Westchester, and Western Springs (north portion).

Wheeling Township 2021 Assessment Notices Mailed

The window to appeal your 2021 assessed value is now open until the deadline of November 05, 2021. 2021 property assessment notices were mailed to Wheeling Township property owners by the Cook County Assessor’s Office on Tuesday, October 05, 2021.  The following cities, towns, and villages are in Wheeling Township: Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Des Plaines, Mount Prospect, Northbrook, Prospect Heights (majority), and Wheeling (majority).

We suggest property owners review their assessments annually and appeal whenever there is a strong evidence-based argument that your home may not be assessed fairly. Wheeling Township’s next triennial reassessment is scheduled for 2022. South Township 2021 Triennial Reassessments Mailed

2021 Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to South Township homeowners on Thursday, September 30, 2021. The following cities, towns, and villages are in South Township: Bridgeport, Brighton Park, Bronzeville, Lake Meadows, Loop, McKinley Park, Prairie Shores, and South Loop.

Homeowners in South Township have 32 days to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The deadline for appealing at the Assessor’s office is November 1st.
