Get Started Appealing Your Assessment with the Ease of Clickable E-Signature

customer provides electronic signatureProperty owners can now sign property tax appeal forms electronically – with no need to obtain the services of a notary

At Kensington, our services are designed to help property owners save time and money, and we put a premium on making things as convenient for our clients as possible.

These days, however, there’s more than convenience to be gained in streamlining the process.  Our adoption of e-signature capability means you don’t have to go out searching for a notary to notarize your documents. That’s an unnecessary risk in a pandemic year. But it’s also time you can put to better use, as the process of appealing your assessment is now easier than ever.

To accommodate the need for social distancing safeguards, the Cook County Assessor’s Office no longer requires the notarizing of forms to start the appeal process: a digital signature is all you need. The start of your appeal is just a few clicks away.

Start Your Property Tax Appeal without Leaving the House

We’ve implemented a third-party digital signature service to simplify the process of authorizing us to start an appeal on your behalf.  Here’s how it works:

Clients receive an e-signature request by email, along with PDF copies of the required documents. An embedded link in the email opens the documents and shows you where to “sign” (i.e. type your name), after which the documents are automatically sent to Kensington for processing.

From start to finish, it’s a process of less than 10 minutes, and can be accomplished from any device with internet access, including your mobile phone.

A Fast, Easy, and Free Tax Analysis

It’s safer and easier than ever to ensure that you are not paying more than your fair share in property taxes. If you do not appeal your assessment, you may end up with a tax bill that is thousands of dollars more than it should be.

Appealing your assessment is the best way to make sure that your assessment takes into account all of the individual factors that go into establishing the true value of your property.

At Kensington, we have decades of experience in property analytics supporting the strongest possible arguments for appeal and our processes are designed to ensure that our clients receive the maximum possible reduction.

Many factors impact property tax rates and the best results require up-to-date property data and taking advantage of your opportunity to appeal twice each year. Kensington’s experts are diligent in ensuring that you take advantage of every bit of data available for reducing your assessment and have helped thousands of homeowners save on their taxes year after year.
