Maine Township 2019 Triennial Reassessments Mailed
Triennial reassessment notices were mailed to Maine Township homeowners on May 7th. The following cities, towns, and villages are in Maine Township: Des Plaines, Glenview, Morton Grove, Niles, Park Ridge, and Rosemont. Homeowners in Maine Township have one month to appeal their assessment at the Assessor’s office (there will be a second opportunity to appeal later in the year at the Board of Review, whether you appeal at the Assessor’s office or not). The deadline for appealing at the Assessor’s office is June 7th.
The Cook County Assessor’s office will release and post valuation statistics for Maine Township here when they become available. We suggest homeowners review their assessment annually, particularly in a reassessment year, to ensure they do not pay more than their fair share in real estate taxes. Successfully appealing in a reassessment year may provide 3 years of savings on future property tax bills. If you would like a free analysis of your Maine Township home, in comparison to similar properties, we would be happy to conduct a “no obligation” analysis and provide you with a free estimate of how much we believe we could help you save with an appeal.
The first step is to send us your property address and contact information. We will then conduct an initial analysis, running your property through our proprietary algorithm to search for the strongest comparable properties. Experience and expertise go a long way towards identifying the best comparable properties, which in turn can make a big difference in the amount of success you have with your appeal. Once we have completed our analysis we will reach out to you and provide our professional opinion on your assessment for free, with no obligation on your part to hire us. Of course, if at that point you would like our assistance with an appeal we would be happy to help you. Contact us before the June 7th deadline for your free estimate.
